Connecting Families is a volunteer-based, non-profit organization dedicated to helping parents with one of the most important jobs, raising a child. We focus on helping families under stress or facing challenging situations with their children. As a volunteer, you would work with our staff in any number of volunteer opportunities, depending on your individual interests and talents. Training is provided. PARENTING CLASS FACILITATORS AND ASSISTANTS: Lead workshops for divorcing parents or other general parenting classes. Assist facilitators with room set-up, participant registration and distribution of materials. Training provided.
TELEPHONE RESOURCE LINE SUPPORT: Answer phones and provide general information about programs, register callers for workshops and provide information about community resources.
ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT: Help with special projects, data entry, and other support services such as preparing materials for upcoming classes.
NEWSLETTER PUBLICATION: Research and write articles, design layout using Microsoft Publisher and help distribute Family Outreach newsletters.
FUNDRAISING AND PUBLICITYShare your special talents, work on committees, or provide support for these critical activities. Assistance with grant writing is also needed.
